What Are 50/50 Liquids?

50/50 vape juice has a slightly thicker consistency and a less intense throat hit than standard PG e-liquid, but it produces more vapour. It can be used in pretty much any vape device, however we'd recommend not using more than a 6mg strength in a sub-ohm tank.

This e-liquid is made up of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG). PG provides the flavour and smooth throat hit to your vaping experience, and VG is where your vapour comes from. This means that this specific e-liquid offers both satisfying vapour production as well as fantastic flavour profiles.

PG is a thin, colourless, odourless liquid that we use to improve the viscosity of our e-liquids. It is responsible for carrying and maintaining the flavour, and an e-liquid with a high PG is better suited to vape kit with vape coils that have a higher resistance and low power.

VG is a thick, colourless liquid with a sweet taste. We use VG to thicken the e-liquid and to create the vapour clouds we all love creating. If you are using a higher VG e-liquid, stick to higher-powered vape kits, using sub-ohm coils.

An e-liquid with a higher PG ratio is thinner, has a more obvious flavour, but produces less vapour. An e-liquid that has a higher VG ratio, will be thicker with a harsher throat hit and will have bigger cloud production. 88Vape balances this perfectly with our 50/50 PG/VG e-liquids.

The nicotine strength depends on your personal preferences, but you must be sure to choose the right vape for your e-liquid strength, as this can have an effect on flavour and intensity.

These e-liquids are designed to mimic an MTL (mouth-to-lung) hit but can also be used in a DTL (direct-to-lung) device. The PG and VG combination has been balanced to provide a smooth hit, either way.

What Device Should I Use For 50/50 E-Liquids?

The e-liquid ratio is best suited to basic vape pens with non-sub-ohm coils such as our popular 88Vape Deluxe vape pen.

An e-liquid that evaporates quickly is ideal for a low wattage device, as this will provide more flavour and a smoother throat hit. A higher wattage might cause your e-liquid to give you a harsher throat hit, which can be especially unpleasant if you are not used to a harsher hit or are not an ex-smoker.
